Shooting Paul & Emma Ainsworth for Their Next Chapter in Cornwall
I recently photographed Paul and Emma Ainsworth for press shots linked to their new venture: St Enodoc hotel in Rock, Cornwall. They now hold the keys to this 21-bedroom property, which overlooks the Camel Estuary. The hotel stands near the Mariners pub, also operated by Paul and Emma.
I enjoyed working with them on these images, capturing a moment of growth for the Ainsworth Collection. They explained that they have no immediate plans to alter the style of the hotel. Their main goal is to welcome the existing team and maintain a comfortable environment for guests. This mindset reflects the approach I’ve seen at Caffè Rojano, Paul Ainsworth at No6, and Padstow Townhouse—they care about each person who steps through the door.
I’ve also shot photos at the Mariners and Caffè Rojano, both in North Cornwall. My work includes food photography, event coverage, and brand imagery for local businesses. Each assignment gives me a chance to show real stories, not staged scenes. I focus on clear visuals that suit print, social media, and press releases.

This shoot at St Enodoc hotel added another chapter to my ongoing work in Cornwall. I look forward to seeing how Paul and Emma develop this historic site.
10 Years of Shooting at Nancarrow Farm
Discover a decade of capturing life at Nancarrow Farm in Cornwall. From local produce and weddings to special events, see how this family-run farm, led by Steve and supported by my wife Heather, combines home-grown ingredients with authentic hospitality. Explore the stories behind each photograph.
I have spent the last decade photographing Nancarrow Farm in Cornwall. My brother-in-law, Steve, runs the operation, and my wife Heather, who grew up on the farm, is part of the family. We have always been close to the farm, and I was lucky enough to marry Heather there almost 14 years ago.
Jack leads the kitchen team, which focuses on seasonal produce grown on-site, along with cattle reared on the land. This approach reduces transport and helps each dish stay fresh. Over the years, I have captured many food events, weddings, and collaborations with Finisterre and Food Lifestyle Awards. Each shoot highlights the farm’s aim to connect guests with local ingredients and genuine hospitality.
The farm changes with the seasons. You can learn more about its daily activities on the Nancarrow Farm Blog. They host regular Sunday roasts, Courtyard Lunches, and other gatherings that make use of produce grown on-site. I aim to reflect this in my photographs, showing real moments and the characters behind them.
